We will take it outside and enjoy the grounds when it's warm and sunny, or in class when not so pleasant outside. Also, an opportunity to make new friends and have a chat.
Have you played? Would you like to design and make your own course? Come and join Mr W. in the workshop where we shall aim to make 9 interesting themed holes. There will be some fairly simple ones to start off, leading to some really tricky shots towards the end.
An introduction to lacrosse where we will look to build stick skills and learn some of the rules of the game. Students will be required to have a gum-shield to play as the ball is made of solid rubber and is passed at head height.
The school's instrumental ensemble playing a range of music from ceilidh to classical. Aimed at those having instrumental lessons, although pianists will need to be flexible about what they play as we do not have an unlimited number of pianos.

Get involved with exploring the history of the School grounds, from the Iron Age to the present day. We will be mostly outdoors, doing small digs and using a metal detector. Any finds will be researched and added to the history of Longridge.
Archery is the art, sport, practice or skill of using a bow to shoot arrows. The word comes from the Latin arcus. Historically, archery has been used for hunting and combat. In modern times, it is mainly a competitive sport and recreational activity. A person who participates in archery is typically called an archer.

A small group who meet, chat and enjoy a catch-up.
Learn to use torque wrenches, mole grips, ratchets, spanners, screwdrivers and hammers by means of servicing a small car. Discover some real engineering about screw threads, bearings, gaskets, levers and oil. (Overalls and gloves will be provided.) The school has a small Daewoo car donated by Mr Dodd and working in two groups the pupils will carefully service the car for an MOT test.
This club is aimed at those who want to learn how to play chess, get better at playing chess and participate in U19 tournaments.

This member of staff will start at the reception desk at 4 p.m. to check people as they sign out. They will then check the registers to see if anyone is missing and then take a walk around the school in an effort to find the missing person.
The GSA (Gender and Sexual Orientation Alliance), is a group that provides a safe space for LGBTQ+ young people and allies. We'll set goals for the group, look back at LGBTQ+ history, learn about making zines, and look at self care and allyship.
